WoW Classic Enchanting Leveling Guide
This WoW Classic Enchanting leveling guide provides a cost-efficient path
from skill 1 to 300. The route is calculated using estimated material costs
together with each recipe's skill-up range, so it may continue using a cheaper
enchant after it stops guaranteeing a skill point when doing so is expected
to reduce the overall cost of leveling.
Enchanting is unusual because many of its materials come from disenchanting
unwanted equipment rather than directly from a gathering profession. If you
already have a supply of green items, disenchanting them can substantially
reduce the amount of dust and essence you need to buy.
Quantities marked with an asterisk are estimates because yellow and green
recipes don't guarantee a skill point on every craft.
Enchanting Leveling Tips
Don't discard your Runed Rods as you level. Enchanting requires progressively
stronger rods, beginning with the Runed Copper Rod and moving through Silver,
Golden and Truesilver rods. These are profession tools rather than items you
should replace and sell after each stage.
Dust and essence prices can vary considerably, so the cheapest leveling route
depends on your server's economy. Before buying a large quantity of materials,
compare the cost of the recommended enchant with other recipes available at
the same skill level.
Disenchanting While You Level
Disenchanting unwanted green items can provide a useful supply of Enchanting
materials while also helping with the early profession levels. This guide uses
disenchanting from skill 2 to 50 before switching primarily to enchants and
crafted Enchanting items.
If you're buying items specifically to disenchant, compare the item's purchase
price with the value of the materials you expect to receive. Cheap green items
can sometimes be a better source of dust and essence than buying the materials
directly.
Check Formula Availability
Some of the recommended recipes require an Enchanting formula rather than
being learned automatically from a profession trainer. Check that you can
obtain the required formula before buying all of the materials for that stage.
If the formula is expensive or unavailable on your server, another enchant
may be a better leveling option.
Normal vs Aggressive Leveling
Enable Aggressive if you're willing to continue using recipes
after their skill-up chance begins to fall when the estimated material savings
justify the additional crafts. The standard route is more conservative.
Because yellow and green skill-ups are probabilistic, your actual material
requirements may be slightly higher or lower than the quantities shown.
