WoW Classic Leatherworking Leveling Guide

This WoW Classic Leatherworking leveling guide provides a cost-efficient path from skill 1 to 300. The route uses estimated material costs together with each recipe's skill-up range to select efficient crafts as you level.

Leatherworking uses some materials crafted at earlier skill levels in later recipes. Items marked (keep) should be saved, as the route expects to use them in subsequent crafts.

Quantities marked with an asterisk are estimates because yellow and green recipes don't guarantee a skill point on every craft.

Leatherworking Leveling Tips

Keep any materials marked (keep) in the guide. Some materials crafted while leveling are required by later recipes, so selling them may mean having to craft or buy them again.

Before starting a long crafting section, check that you have the required threads, dyes, salt and other vendor materials. These are easy to overlook when buying the leather needed for the route.

Leatherworking Patterns

Most of the route uses recipes available through normal Leatherworking progression, but some later sections require specific patterns. Check the requirements shown in the guide before buying all of your materials so you don't reach a skill level without access to the next recipe.

In particular, the final part of this route uses Pattern: Wicked Leather Bracers and Pattern: Wicked Leather Headband.

Normal vs Aggressive Leveling

Enable Aggressive if you're willing to continue using recipes after their skill-up chance begins to fall when the estimated material savings justify the additional crafts. The standard route is more conservative.

Because yellow and green skill-ups are probabilistic, your actual material requirements may be slightly higher or lower than the quantities shown.
